I thank You Lord that You are the Father of mercies and the God of all comfort. You comfort me in all my tribulation, so that I may be able to comfort those who are in any trouble with the comfort I have received straight from You. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in my life, so my consolation also abounds through Christ. God, You are my refuge and strength, a very present help in times of trouble. I thank You that You are near to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit. I look to the heavens and remember that You created the stars, calling each one by name. Because of Your great power and incomparable strength, not a single one is missing. So there is no way I can say that You don’t see the troubles and sadness we face in this life. Remind Me not to panic, God. You are with me. There is no need to fear because You are my God. You will give me strength. You will help me. You will hold me steady, and keep a firm grip on me. Jesus, You came and showed us the Father so that we could learn to trust You, so that we could be unshakeable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world we will continue to experience difficulties. But I will take heart, for You have overcome the world. John 16:33 MSG

Lord, help me not to worry about the wicked, or envy those who do wrong. Like grass, they will soon fade away and wither.
